Alignment Gauge
《 F-TYPE. NO5》

T//// TOE ////

No1...
Camber angle adjustment is needed before the toe adjustment.
It is encouraged to check camber alignment even when you don’t need to adjust it.
The toe can be adjusted to worn the outside of the tyres if the inside of tyres are wearing out by a negative
camber.

No2...
Fit the gauge with 2 tape measures to the side wall of one of the front tyre.
Stretch the tape measures to about car width and lock the measure.
Go to the other side of front tyre and hook the tape measure on the other gauge.
If needed, use plastic plate to hold the measure.
Go back to the measure side to unlock the measure, and read the measurement.
The difference between 2 measures is the toe readings.
The manual explains how to adjust after the measurement.
The gauge has 3 leg nuts for adjusting the height of the gauge.
It is needed to suit different sizes and types of tyres.
The above photos show the example of gauging.
The gauge needs to be on the side wall of the tyres for correct measurements.
It is OK if the contact points for the tyres are more than 2 and better to be far apart.
It will be impossible to measure if there is only one contact point after you have lowered the gauge.
Also, the measurement cannot be correct if the tape measure is
touching the lower part (body) of the car.
The widths of 2 measures are also needed to adjust depending on the size of tyres. This can be done by
adjusting the height of the gauge.
After the above process, if the gauge is still not high enough, use 8mm bolts for adjustment.
If you can get the wheel alignment right, as a result your car will improve in fuel efficiency.
When all the tyres of your car are rolling towards a different direction, the tyres will wear more and the fuel
efficiency will be reduced if the tyres are not aligned.
It will be noticeable while you’re driving once you get your wheel alignment right.

No3...
The gauge has leg nut for adjusting height of the gauge.
It is needed for suit different size and type of tyres.
Above photo showing the example of gauging.
The gauge needed to be on side wall of the tyres for correct measurements.
It is OK if the contact point for tyres are more than 2 and better to be far a part.
It will become only one contact point if you lower the gauge.
Then impassible to measure.
On the other hand measurement can not be correct if the tape measure touching the part of the car.
The width of 2 measures also needed to adjust by size of tyres by adjusting the height of the gauge.
If not enough just get 8mm nut for the adjustment.

If we get wheel alignment correct will reduce petrol consumption.
All the tyres will roll on each direction to increase worn and petrol consumption if not aligned.
It will noticeable if you get wheel alignment right.

N04...
1. Loosen this nut first
2. Adjust this bolt for toe
Note: Don't forget to tighten 1.nut.
